This activity aims to engage students in exploring and identifying biodiversity in their local environment through a Biodiversity Scavenger Hunt.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this learning scenario, students will be able to:

• Recognize the significance of biodiversity in the local ecosystem
• Recall and recognize different plant and animal species present in their local environment
• Apply observational and documentation skills using field guides, binoculars, and smartphone apps during the scavenger hunt
• Analyse the connections between different species and their roles within the local ecosystem
• Synthesize the observations by creating presentations or displays to share the findings
