Climate Change and Biodiversity Workshop: Outdoor Study
Introduction
This activity aims at deepen students understanding of biodiversity, observe firsthand the effects of climate change, and inspire a sense of
responsibility toward environmental stewardship. The objective is to connect with nature and discover how each of us can make a positive
impact on our planet.
Objectives
- Raise awareness about the environmental consequences of climate
change on biodiversity - Understand the links between biodiversity and climate change
- To empower secondary school students with knowledge and skills related to biodiversity conservation, educating others on climate change and encouraging them to apply sustainable practices and strategies for a greener future
Learning outcomes
By the end of this learning scenario, students will be able to:
- Identify and classify various species of plants, insects, birds, and other organisms
- Recognize observable signs of climate change in the local environment
- Analyze collected data to draw conclusions about the state of biodiversity and potential impacts of climate change
- Explore ways in which individuals and communities can contribute to conservation efforts
