Introduction

This workshop is designed to immerse participants in an in-depth understanding of wildfires and their profound effects on biodiversity. It aims to empower students to not only appreciate the natural world but also comprehend the crucial link between wildfires, biodiversity, and
conservation practices. It aims to inspire participants to actively contribute to the preservation of local environment against wildfires, paving
the way for a more sustainable and resilient future.

Objectives

To educate secondary school students about the impact of wildfires on
biodiversity, fostering an understanding of the ecological consequences and emphasizing the role of human initiatives in mitigating the risks associated with wildfires.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this learning scenario, students will be able to:

• Describe the interdependence of different species within ecosystems and explain how wildfires disrupt these dynamics
